For the very first time, the 31st Abu Dhabi chess festival in association with Chessbase India offers an unique opportunity for chess enthusiasts in India to win a ticket to Abu Dhabi to participate at the 31st Abu Dhabi Chess festival to be held from 14th-24th August, 2025. The winner of the tournament will receive a one-way ticket to Abu Dhabi, visa and free entry to play any/multiple events of the festival considering they are eligible to play the particular event. Presenting to you the 4th ChessBase India Chess Festival in Hyderabad with a total prize pool of Rs. 60,000 to be a held at the Maestro Chess Academy in Hyderabad on the 5th of July, 2025 arranged and organised by ChessBase India Hyderabad.

The Abu Dhabi chess festival is one of the biggest chess festivals in the world. With over a thousand participants across all events, every year, from amateurs to the world elite, this festival has shaped the career of many chess talents and it is a dream for many to be a part of this. This year, Abu Dhabi chess festival in association with ChessBase India gives one champion player the chance to win a one-way ticket, visa and free entry to the festival. This is the first time such a major festival has taken a initiative to give one worthy player the chance, but it is not going to be easy. An unique chance for chess players in India

The player has to prove their worth by winning the 4th ChessBase India chess festival to be held at the Maestro Chess Academy in Hyderabad. The festival is divided into two parts, the first twenty registered participants will get a chance to attend the Chess Tactics Challenge which comes with some special prizes and then the Raging Rapid challenge will be something to fight for. And apart from the first mega prize, there are other amazing prizes for grabs as well with a total prize pool of Rs. 60,000.

Amazing prizes for the best talents

The tactics challenge will have five extremely interesting tactics for you to solve from some of the most classic games. This will be the perfect start and also a great warm up for the Rapid tournament. The contest will start exactly at 10:00 AM and you will get 45 mins to solve the five tactics. Make sure that you solve them as quickly as you can as in case of a tie, the timing of submission will be calculated. The raging rapid challenge starts exactly at 11:30 AM and a total of eight rounds will be played. The closing and the prize distribution will be at 05:00 PM. Please check the reporting times as the events will start exactly at the scheduled timings and no excuses will be entertained for late arrival.

The time control for the raging rapid challenge is 10 Minutes +2 Seconds increment from move one. Feel free to check out all the regulations of the festival for both the events.

The entry fees for the festival is Rs. 1,000 which gives the players the chance to choose to play any or both the events. Only the first twenty registered participants will be eligible to attend the tactics challenge. Free entry for participants who attended the GM Srinath Narayanan Masterclass in Hyderabad. The rapid tournament is limited 100 players and entries close on July 3rd at 11:59 PM. No on-spot entries will be accepted. Round 1 pairings will be released on Chess Results by 11 PM on July 4th.
